I got the Kadhai Chicken and it was pretty good! Chicken was quite tender, but wish it could have been a little more so. The sauce was great and the veggies tasted fresh and were plentiful. The portion is just right; for a person with a healthy and good appetite, this dish is substantial enough. One thing that did make me surprised was how you had to pay extra for rice. For these type of entrees, I think rice should come along with it. The bowl of rice was not cheap; it was a little under $3. It did come at a rather large portion. If you are eating out with a friend who is also getting another entree, I think one bowl of rice should suffice. The Kadhai Chicken was a little over $14, and with the $3 rice, tax, and tip, it come out to be around $22. Pretty overpriced, if you asked me. Nevertheless, the food was still good. Waiters were friendly and nice. And the place was clean; I do like the large windows.

One of the better Indian restaurants in Grand Rapids. Went with An appetizer filled with lamb. Added the house white wine. Service was quick to order and came hot and ready to eat. Nice feel to the place. Sat by the window and enjoyed the overall feel of the place.

Considered to be a part of Grand Rapids best Indian Restaurants. Started with the red house wine and then added The Kheema Samosa appetizer. It was served hot and fresh, and one of the few places in town where you can get a 100% lamb dish. Servers worked hard and together as a team. Nice feel to the place.

What an overall great experience! Service at Palace of India was above and beyond- we were WELL taken care of! There was a nice list of beers to try, which we were happy with. We accidentally ordered way too much naan but it was so good I don't regret it at all. I had the lamb tikka masala and it was the best tikka masala I've ever had! Absolutely amazing. It also made for great leftovers! I can't wait to go back!

Palace is my favorite Indian restaurant in the GR area. Located downtown, there is lots of street parking around, and the interior is authentically Indian. As a vegetarian, I order this restaurant for delivery quite regularly, but I've also dined in. They offer a limited amount of alcohol, so just know this isn't a hot cocktail spot. I love to get their paneer tiki masala. It's creamy, mild, and has flavorful peppers and onions along with paneer cheese. The portion size is generous and I always have leftovers. Their naan is maybe their ultimate specialty; and truly sets them apart from other Indian cuisine restaurants in the area. The cheese naan is heavenly, extremely decadent. The garlic naan is lighter, and equally delicious. The samosas and vegetable pakora are excellent appetizers to enjoy with friends. I love the different sauces included. Mango lassi is a classic here- especially recommended if you order a spicier meal. *if ordering out, be sure to select a side of rice with your meal. It is not included otherwise.
